Q: What is TUMAC?
TUMAC (an acronym for Tulane University Martial Arts Club) is a club for anyone interested in a form of martial art. Whether you've never stepped foot in a martial arts class before or you've been training since you could walk, everyone is welcome.

Q: What is taught?
Students learn techniques that come from Kenpo, Tae Kwon Do, Modern Arnis, Ju-jitsu and various other styles of self-defense.

Q: What do I need for class?
A positive outlook and open mind are the most important "equipment" for joining the martial arts club, as well as respect for the instructors and fellow students. Loose workout clothing (something you can easily move around in [NO JEANS!]) is a good start. Uniforms are not required, but are encouraged if you wish to test for a belt rank (uniforms are also very comfortable and specifically designed for ease of movement).

Q: How much are classes?
Club dues are $20 per semester. If you wish to buy a uniform, they start at around $20 for a regular one. You can buy different types of uniforms (ie heavier, different colors, different brands, etc.) at varying prices. Also, with your dues, you get a free t-shirt.

Q: When are classes?
Every Monday from 7:00-8:30.
Every Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Q: Where are classes held?
At Tulane University's Reily Center-- 3rd floor. Room with the punching bags.

Q: When can I start?
At the next class! Just come on in!
